How to delete sims

It has been suggested on another thread that uninstalling and then reinstalling will work to fix my problem of codes replacing actions, achievements and the Gallery download button.

I read in another thread that if repairing the game through origin didn’t work and clearing caches then try uninstalling and reinstalling. It seems to have been successful for other simmers.

I did try a factory reset as well but that didn’t fix it.

This is my last ditch attempt to fix these annoying codes as I don’t know what some of my sims need to do. I had hoped the last patch would fix it but it didn’t

The codes are annoying the doopers out of me, lol!

The best way I find is.. by uninstalling through add remove programs (in control panel.)
Then download ccleaner :
https://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
The free one is fine.
Then run both the cleaner and registry cleaner in ccleaner.
Then double check to see if all sims 4 folders have been deleted.

About Broken CC

Logging into The Sims 4 with the wish to have an awesome time but instead finding that some of your CC is causing glitches and errors is one of the worst experiences in a simmer’s life. It’s not only that we have to say goodbye to a certain CC piece. Instead, it’s all the trouble we have to go through in order to remove it. So, in this post, I’ll want to show you how to find broken CC in Sims 4 and remove it quickly, safely, and in the easiest way possible!

Something that many simmers struggle with is actually finding the one custom content file that’s causing all the glitches. And sometimes, you can spend an entire day deleting stuff that you didn’t need to, just to find the one little piece that’s the root of all problems. But I want to show you a new, modern, and better way to find broken CC in Sims 4 and remove it.

And so, here we’ll go over three methods, two of which I truly recommend. You can choose any of them and see what works for you. But you’ll see why my two preferred methods are easier and faster solutions overall.

So, let’s learn how to find broken CC in Sims 4 and remove it!

How to Find Broken CC in Sims 4?

Manually Delete CC Files One by One

Yes, the first method of finding broken CC in Sims 4 and removing is the good old “search and delete.”

Of course, this is the hardest and the most troublesome way of doing this for two main reasons. First, it takes a lot of time. And second, you might end up deleting all the mods and CC that you love. And I do NOT recommend this way if you’re a total beginner in Sims 4!

But if you still want to try and find the culprit among your CC files manually, here’s what you need to do.

Go to your “Mods” folder and open it. Here you can see all of your installed mods and CC. Delete the first folder, then jump into the game to check whether the issue is still there. If it’s not – congratulations, you’ve deleted the broken CC file. But if the problem is still there – you’ll need to repeat the process over and over again.

The fewer mods and CC you have installed, the easier this method is. But as we all like to try out new stuff all the time, it’s understandable if you have a long list that you don’t even want to get rid of.

Keep in mind that you don’t have to delete all mods from beginning to end if you know exactly which CC file causes the problem. For example, if you see that a skin overlay CC is causing glitches in the CAS menu, you won’t have to delete MC Command Center. Instead, go over the skin CC you’ve downloaded only.

Find and Remove Broken CC Using the Sims 4 Tray Importer

The Tray Importer is probably the most popular method of finding and removing broken CC in Sims 4. That’s because it’s fast and effective, which is exactly what we want.

What is the Tray Importer?

The Tray Importer is software for Sims 4 that helps you manage your CC. It actually allows you to download and upload CC and mods directly through it, which is awesome. But, it also shows you which CC files are broken/missing when you’re going over all of your CC and Mods. Then, you can either delete the broken files or find the missing pieces on the internet (it tells you the name of the missing CC files too).

Use the Sims 4 Mod Checker to Find and Remove Broken CC

The Sims 4 Mod Checker method is pretty similar to the Tray Imposter.

The Mod Checker is software that scans your entire Mods folder and discovers the broken CC files automatically. It will list all of your CC and mods from your Mods folder, and it will show which of your downloads are outdated or broken. You can then go to those folders and manually delete them.

I’d say that using the Mod Checker is even an easier method to use if you don’t know how to find broken CC in Sims 4. It’s simple, and it gets the job done.

I recommend you either use the Mod Checker or the Tray Importer unless you know exactly which file is causing your problems. These tools will save you a lot of time, so give them a shot!

I’ve been having a problem with Sims 4, that I can’t play previous games, cause I guess they weren’t recent. My problem is described here to the best of my ability, in a discussion called Multiple New games load problem. I can’t link the discussion here because of the rules of the forum, sorry, but that mentioned discussion is still posted on this site. I wanna return to sims 4, I really do. But I can’t play with the couple I originally created, cause I and caused many other families, so I couldn’t play my first couple It gotten buried, and the load menu I guess only shows the most recent family played. It don’t know what happened. I went through my sims household gallery & deleted households that were cluttering my game & also, I tried to “copy” the first couple I made to play them again, but it didn’t feel right to do that. I haven’t played sims 4 in a very long time. I only have the Fazbear family I created left. But I don’t wanna play as them. And the menu is still cluttered with auto saved games & my folder that holds all my sims 4 games is so fat with games. I don’t know what to do. I wanna clear all of it and start over. Sure, I’ll lose all progress I had with my Fazbear family, but I don’t care. So can anyone please tell me how I can delete all sims 4 games so I can start sims 4 new again? Please I’m asking for help because I don’t wanna break my game or do something stupid that makes it unplayable. I got Sims 4 from Origin. So how do I delete to start my whole game over? I’m scared if I throw my sims 4 save files in the recycling bin that would break the game or corrupt it. Can anyone help me?

And I don’t know anything about computers, so if it’s a long process I would need to be directed through it step by step. Please be kind and help if possible. If no one can help, I understand, & I could ask for help from people in my life, but I don’t wanna bother them right now if it’s possible someone can help me from this site.

Go to your computer folders. Documents folder to Electronic Arts folder. In the Electronic Arts folder you will find the sims 4 folder. Drag the sims 4 folder to desktop, start the game and it will generate a new clean sims 4 folder and you can start over

You can keep the old sims 4 folder just in case or delete it if you don’t want to keep it.
